Datasheet
DescriptionThe 1D3 antibody reacts with mouse CD19, a 95kDa transmembrane glycoprotein. CD19 is expressed on B cells during all stages of development excluding the terminally differentiated plasma cells. CD19, in association with CD21 and CD81, forms a molecular complex for B cell activation. CD19 is also expressed on follicular dendritic cells. This antibody is routinely tested by flow cytometric analysis to ensure the product quality.

BackgroundLymphocytes proliferate and differentiate in response to various concentrations of different antigens. The ability of the B cell to respond in a specific, yet sensitive manner to the various antigens is achieved with the use of low-affinity antigen receptors. This gene encodes a cell surface molecule which assembles with the antigen receptor of B lymphocytes in order to decrease the threshold for antigen receptor-dependent stimulation.
