The protein in the nanodisc is a three-part fusion protein. The N-terminal extracellular region is a Flag tag. The C-terminal intracellular region is an EGFP-Strep tag. The transmembrane region of the protein is derived from the transmembrane region of the platelet-derived growth factor receptor beta (PDGFRB). This synthetic nanodisc negative control can be used as a control for membrane protein nanodiscs in various applications.
| tags | N-Flag&C-Strep Tag |
| production host | HEK293 |
| formulation | Lyophilized from nanodisc solubilization buffer (20 mM Tris-HCl, 150 mM NaCl, pH 8.0). Normally 5% - 8% trehalose is added as protectants before lyophilization. |
| reconstitution | Reconstitute lyophilized powder with 25 ul of water to a concentration of 400 ug/ml, solubilize with occasional gentle mixing. Do not use solvents with pH lower than 6.5 in subsequent experiments. |
| shipping | Shipped at ambient conditions. |
| storage | Lyophilized form is stable for 1 week at room temperature. Store at -20°C to -80°C for 12 months in lyophilized form. After reconstitution, store at 4°C for 2-7 days or at below -20°C for up to 3 months. |
