Synthetic nanodiscs are produced by solubilizing HEK293 cell membrane fractions overexpessing target full-length multi-transmembrane protein with synthetic polymers such as styrene-maleic acid co-polymers (SMAs), forming discoidal nanostructures with target protein intact in lipid bilayer. The nanodiscs are further purified, offering intact membrane proteins in their natural configuration. This human full length TLR4 protein has a MW of 95.7 kDa.
