Synthetic nanodiscs are produced by solubilizing HEK293 cell membrane fractions overexpessing target full-length multi-transmembrane protein with synthetic polymers such as styrene-maleic acid co-polymers (SMAs), forming discoidal nanostructures with target protein intact in lipid bilayer. The nanodiscs are further purified, offering intact membrane proteins in their natural configuration. This human full length FSHR protein has a MW of 78.3 kDa.

| formulation | Lyophilized from nanodisc solubilization buffer (20 mM Tris-HCl, 150 mM NaCl, pH 8.0). Normally 5% - 8% trehalose is added as protectants before lyophilization. |
| reconstitution | Reconstitute lyophilized powder with water to a concentration of no less than 100 ug/ml, solubilize with occasional gentle mixing. Do not use solvents with pH lower than 6.5 in subsequent experiments. |
| shipping | Shipped at ambient conditions. |
| storage | Lyophilized form is stable for 1 week at room temperature. Store at -20°C to -80°C for 12 months in lyophilized form. After reconstitution, store at 4°C for 2-7 days or at below -20°C for up to 3 months. |
This biotinylated FSHR-Nanodisc (0.2 ug/per well) was added to a ELISA plate precoated with streptavidin (0.2 ug/per well) plate. Serial diluted anti-Flag monoclonal antibody solutions were added, washed, and incubated with secondary antibody before Elisa reading. The EC50 of anti-Flag antibody binding to biotinylated FSHR-Nanodisc is 584.7ng/ml.
