COVID-19 (Coronavirus disease 2019) is an infectious disease caused by SARS-CoV-2. A*STAR COVID-19 Real-Time RT-PCR Test Kit (RUO) was developed by Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research and has been approved for IVD use in Singapore. The kit has been used extensively in most public hospitals in Singapore for detection of SARS-CoV-2 in human samples.
