The virus-like particles (VLPs) of SARS-CoV-2 were expressed in Sf21 cells, assembled with the spike (S, Flag-tagged), envelope (E), membrane (M) and nucleocapsid (N, 6His-tagged) proteins of SARS-CoV-2. The VLPs were purified by a combination of gradient centrifugation and chromatographic methods. Most of VLPs became nanovesicles after extensive purification. The VLPs may be used for antibody generation and neutralization, SARS-CoV-2 antibody detection and vaccine development.
